My love for cats has been a prominent part of my life since age three when I adopted my first cat, Peachy! From there, I began cat sitting as a teenager within my neighborhood and volunteering for the Cat Crusaders of Tampa.
During my years of cat sitting, I have had the pleasure of caring for cats of all ages – from kittens to cats nearing their twenties. I have also worked as a veterinary receptionist and received Fear-Free training – a course that teaches techniques to reduce stress and anxiety within cats and dogs. My goal as a cat sitter is to ensure your cats feel as comfortable and cared for as possible while you are away, and that you as their cat parent have strong peace of mind. When conducting a visit with your cat(s), I prioritize patience and assume a gentle approach to build trust. I understand that being a stranger in your cat’s environment can be alarming to them at first, so I give them the space to acclimate to my presence on their own timing and terms.
During drop-in visits I ensure that your cat(s) are fed, their water is refreshed, their litterbox is cleaned, and that they receive ample playtime and cuddles if they are feeling up to it. I have experience providing topical and oral medications, as well as ear drops and eye drops and can administer these if needed. I provide photo updates and messages to keep you informed on how your kitty is doing. If you desire, I can also bring packages and mail inside.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite aspect of cat sitting is having the opportunity to build beautiful relationships with clients and kitties alike. I am grateful that I get to provide the quality care I would want a cat sitter to give my kitties, while also being privileged enough to share love and affection with new cats.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have three cats - Chickie, Churro, and Thumbalina! All three of my kitties are rescues! Chickie is my handsome feral kitty that I crossed paths with when attempting to rescue another animal. Churro is my beautiful tortie that was a stray and is now my little cuddle bug (she is the best at making biscuits). Thumbalina is my polydactyl Cutie that was rescued at 2 weeks old. She loves to socialize and play fetch.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When it comes to handling cats that are shy or anxious, I make sure to speak in a calm tone and avoid any erratic or quick movements. I like to give anxious kitties their space and allow them to approach me on their own time and terms. If I am in the room with them, I will follow Fear-Free protocols by squatting and facing the cat diagonally to appear smaller, saying their name calmly, and letting them sniff my hand if they would like.

Caitlin was fantastic! Our cats can be shy and have a hard time adjusting to change, so I was worried about leaving them during a long international trip. From the very beginning, Caitlin was attentive, communicative, and incredibly reliable. She truly went above and beyond. She sent detailed updates every day, which gave us so much peace of mind. One of our cats struggles with taking medication, but she was somehow able to get him to eat it consistently every day. She also watered our plants and brought packages inside without even being asked — she really held down the fort! On top of everything, she has such a kind, calm demeanor. Our cats really warmed up to her, which says a lot. We’re so grateful for the care she gave them and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Caitlin was such an amazing sitter for our two kitties! She was very quick to respond to all of my questions and every day we were gone, she sent pictures and updates on both fur babies. She actually outlined EVERY TASK she took care of so I didn’t worry. She not only played with them, I felt she really connected with them so they wouldn’t have any separation anxiety while we were gone. They looked loved and happy in every photo. I will definitely use Caitlin again if she’s free!

Caitlin is a very sweet, kind, appreciative and a lovely person. She is punctual and genuinely loves and cares about kitties very much! I needed help with my kitty Jazzy to give him transdermal medication alternate days which he wouldn't allow me to give it to him and becomes extremely stressful if I try. He seems pretty relaxed around her and even sleeps after the medication is given which is amazing😁😃😻Kitties love her energy! ❤️❤️ I definetly would recommend her to everybody who is thinking to have an excellent pet sitter ❤️❤️

We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Caitlin! She was incredibly kind, diligent, and went above and beyond while we were away. Our cat Tofu is usually shy around strangers, but he warmed up to her surprisingly quickly. Caitlin kept us updated during every visit, watered our plants, and sent tons of adorable photos of both our cats, which gave us so much peace of mind. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Lutz cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Caitlin was phenomenal with my 4 Persian cats. She really loves cats, and it shows in her caring, warmth, concern, questions, commitment, and work ethic. Currently, I never thought I would be able to go on a dream vacation because I didn’t have anyone that I completely trusted with my cats.
