I’ve grown up with cats my entire life. There has never been a time when I didn’t have two cats in my home. Over the years, I’ve adopted and fostered litters of kittens until they found loving homes, and I’ve cared for friends’ and neighbors’ cats as if they were my own. For the past three years, my love for animals has grown into full time pet care, allowing me to dedicate my time to providing attentive, compassionate care for my community... Hi! What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve provided professional cat care for over three years, including dedicated cat sitting and overnight stays. I’ve cared for shy cats, seniors, multi cat households, and playful kittens. I’m experienced with feeding routines, litter care, monitoring behavior changes, and providing enrichment through play and gentle companionship. I understand how sensitive cats can be to change, so I maintain a calm, consistent environment while you’re away. As an Animal Energy Healer, my grounded presence naturally supports relaxation and emotional ease for the cats in my care.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I love most about caring for cats is earning their trust. Cats are intuitive and sensitive, and it’s such a gift when they choose to feel safe with you. I enjoy learning each cat’s unique personality, whether they’re independent, playful, or quietly observant. Creating a calm environment where they can relax, play, and feel understood brings me so much joy. Every cat teaches me something different, and I truly value the quiet connection that forms during our time together.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! My kitty's name is Charlie. He is the sweetest most loving baby. I’ve been part of a multi cat household my whole life. I truly can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a cat. Growing up around multiple cats taught me how to understand different personalities, boundaries, and social dynamics. I’m very comfortable with everything from independent cats to cuddly lap cats, and I deeply respect their space and routines. Living with cats for so many years has given me natural intuition and confidence in caring for them.

Nelani was an amazing drop in sitter for my cat Figaro, and I’m so glad I found her. From the start, she was professional, responsive, and clearly someone who truly cares about animals. As a pet owner, it’s such a relief to know your pet is in kind and capable hands when you’re away. Nelani made sure Figaro had fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and lots of attention. She took the time to play with him and make him feel comfortable rather than just stopping in quickly and leaving. Figaro can be picky about new people, but he warmed up to her very quickly, which really shows how calm and patient she is with animals. One thing that really stood out was her communication. She sent thoughtful updates and photos during and after the visit, which made a huge difference while I was away. It was clear she was paying attention to Figaro’s behavior and well being, not just completing the basic tasks. Nelani was punctual, dependable, and respectful of my home. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Miami Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
