What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

While I’m still fairly new to cat sitting, I’m no stranger to being someone people count on. As a freelance editor and small business owner, I’ve spent years working with clients who trust me with their projects, equipment, and even their own clients and spaces. I bring that same level of reliability, respect, and attention to detail to every cat sitting visit. That said, my real experience with cats comes from a lifetime of loving and caring for them. I’ve been a devoted cat parent for decades, caring for kitties of all ages– from playful young adults to seniors needing extra attention. I’ve handled feedings, meds, litter box duty, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I treat every cat like family, with patience, love, and a focus on what makes them feel safe and happy.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! My wife and I adopted our sweet girl Annabelle in 2019, but around here she goes by “BelBel” – plus about a dozen other goofy nicknames like “Belbalicious,” “Belbalonia,” and “Purrflurr” (we’re definitely that kind of household). She’s our one and only fur baby right now, and she knows she is the Queen of the castle here. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of caring for other kitties with names like Miss Dee, Miss Match, Son, Lucky, Brownie, and Angus. OK, maybe not the most creative names – but they all made perfect sense in the moment and definitely match their personalities!

What is your favorite cat toy?

Our kitty BelBel has an overflowing toy box, but her go-to favorites are the classic jingling plastic balls and the crinkly foil ones that she bats around the house like a pro soccer player. But one of my all-time favorite toys was incredibly simple– a thin coiled wire with a little piece of cardboard on the end. You’d just twist it between your fingers and it would bounce and zip unpredictably through the air. Every cat I’ve introduced it to has gone wild for it. Proof that the best toys don’t have to be fancy – they just have to be fun!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
