I make friends with cats wherever I go, and am often the go to for friends ... I'm Philip and I love cats! They love me too. I have a special gift with cats and really enjoy cat sitting. I have two extremely cute kitties, Carl, an adorable Tuxedo, and Penny, the tiniest, feistiest Calico cat!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been taking care of friends cats since for nearly 30 years. I've had cats for 20 years and I'm the first one to look for cats wherever I go in the world. I even carry cat treats with me wherever I go.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Listen. 🤣 I LOVE CATS. ALL CATS. Even the crabby, hiding, weird cats. I just love cats and cat sitting is so much fun.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I was a cat sitter in Oakland, CA for 2 weeks taking care of Ramona and Beezus! Ramona would purr if you just looked at her and Beezus took some warning up, but after a day, she was following me everywhere, sleeping on me and my new best buddy. It was the best possible situation.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 very very very cute kitties named Carl, a medium small tuxedo cow cat who is bonded forever to me, and Penny, a tiny, tiny calico cat that is attached to my partner, Anna, but is obsessed with me regarding mice and mice.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who you feel really loves cats and isn't just trying to make a quick buck, make sure you feel totally comfortable with your decision.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I visit and show them that I pay a lot of attention to the cats and I pay attention to instructions. I also assure them that I'll take lots of pictures and videos to send them.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure all doors are closed and locked. I double check food and water and make sure there aren't harmful wires or plants or anything that could make a cat unwell.

What is your favorite cat toy?
Carl's Platypus. Carl has a tiny furry platypus that makes him do some cirque de soleil moves in the air. It's quite spectacular to watch!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I'm especially good with cats like this. I let them approach me and don't try and swoop in to pet them. I sit and wait. My calm energy draws them to me. Works every time.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Orlando cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
