What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting with Meowtel for about 3 years now, but prior to that I was a foster for cats for various shelters and non-profits for 10 years. I have a combined experience of 12 years.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I adore all cats and am always super happy to meet more. Just how dog people will always ask if they can pet your dog, I want to meet your cat! I have met so many unique and wonderful cats cat sitting for Meowtel and am always up for meeting more!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 cats of my own, 3 girls and 1 boy. They are named Mara, Sadie, Luna, and Tolliver. They are my whole world.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I usually am. I ask for flexibility during these times and may need to visit early in the morning or late at night and am usually not available during the day. They are not usually marked as available on my calderar so please just ask if I'm able to accommodate.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is the Yeowww! catnip banana. There is something about this toy that drives cats nuts! My cats have a couple from that brand and they adore the banana! I highly recommend it and it can be found on Amazon.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Patience is key! You cannot force a cat to like you or be comfortable with you so I try and make them as comfortable as possible without forcing them. I don't touch cats that don't want to be touched and I use things that they like to reinforce that I'm ok to be around like a favorite treat or toy. If and once they allow pets I do so slowly and stop once they indicate they're done.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
