What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s personality. No two cats are the same and it’s extremely special to earn their trust and help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. There’s no better feeling then when a kitty chooses you! Those small moments of cuddles, playing together, or even something as simple as when they rub against your leg to say hello are so special and are the moments I look forward to the most!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
My typical process for working with a new cat parent is to introduce myself and offer a free meet-and-greet beforehand! This serves as the purrrfect opportunity for me to chat 1-on-1 with the cat parent about all the important information needed for a safe and successful visit. I love learning about their favorite toys, treats, their food schedule and any other specific instructions needed. It also gives me the opportunity to meet their kitty with the parent nearby which can help make the cat more comfortable so when I visit for the first time I’m familiar to them. It’s also a great way for me to see the home and be shown anything that the cat parent would also like me to watch during my visit. My goal is to make sure your kitty and your home are in good hands while you’re away!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When handling cats that are timid or anxious I am extremely gentle and patient and let the kitty move at their own pace. I focus on making sure I keep their routine consistent. It can be extremely stressful when parting from your pet so I’ll make sure to keep the cat parent updated as much as they’d like and make sure the kitty is taken care of at their comfort level.

Caitlin was absolutely exceptional. It was obvious right away that she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibility seriously. Our cats can be shy and selective with people, but Caitlin was so patient and gentle that they warmed up to her almost immediately. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Orlando cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
