What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s personality. No two cats are the same and it’s extremely special to earn their trust and help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. There’s no better feeling then when a kitty chooses you! Those small moments of cuddles, playing together, or even something as simple as when they rub against your leg to say hello are so special and are the moments I look forward to the most!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process for working with a new cat parent is to introduce myself and offer a meet-and-greet beforehand! This serves as the purrrfect opportunity for me to chat 1-on-1 with the cat parent about all the important information needed for a safe and successful visit. I love learning about their favorite toys, treats, their food schedule and any other specific instructions needed. It also gives me the opportunity to meet their kitty with the parent nearby which can help make the cat more comfortable so when I visit for the first time I’m familiar to them. It’s also a great way for me to see the home and be shown anything that the cat parent would also like me to watch during my visit. My goal is to make sure your kitty and your home are in good hands while you’re away!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When handling cats that are timid or anxious I make sure I get as much information from their parent as possible to make sure we’re both comfortable during our visit. I am extremely gentle and patient and let the kitty move at their own pace. I focus on making sure I keep their routine consistent. It can be extremely stressful when parting from your pet so I will make sure to keep the cat parent updated as much as they’d like and make sure the kitty is taken care of at their comfort level.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
