I am a very reliable, trustworthy, and dependable person... Hi, my name is Mary! I currently live in the Palm Bay area. Cats have always been my favorite when it comes to pets. As a kid, I had my first cat, Butterfly, whom I convinced my mom to let me bring home. I had her for years, and then all of a sudden she started to have seizures as she got older. The seizures started to become too often, and she wasn't really coming back the same over time, so I had to let her go to kitty heven which was very sad because that was my first baby.
I am a very reliable, trustworthy, and dependable person.
I know how to build trust with your kitty 😺 by giving them their own time and space to come check things out as often as they like time and pateince is key for shy kitties. I also have extensive experience in administering medications to cats and ensuring they receive the necessary care they need and they deserve and receive everyday for you. While some cats enjoy a gentle belly rub, others appreciate a bit more space. I'm here to meet any of you and your kitty needs at any time of day or night, and I look forward to connecting with you and your kitty. Right now im planning to be out of town the weekend of June 26 to 28 sorry for the inconvenience.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
The first cat I found or she found me at 7. I've always loved cats. They're so unpredictable, they have so much personality of their own, and each one is different. Some can be a little difficult but when given time and pateince theyll came around I've managed to bring out the best in kitties and most right out of most of that shyness. 😻
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Playtime is the perfect opportunity to relax and get to know your kitty, and built trust a great way for them to warm up to some much-needed cuddles😻
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Mittens and Pumpkin. 🎃 is my new addition to the family and she is still adjusting, quite funny, and quite a demanding kitty as we only had her for about 2 months.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Allow the cat to approach you at their own pace. It's essential to let them warm up to the idea of having someone else in their environment while their owner is away especially. You might consider leaving an old shirt or blanket near their sleeping area that carries your scent. This way, they will recognize that you are still there. Plus, they'll have something comforting to cuddle with that reminds them of you, and rest assured, it will ease their anxiousness until your return. 😼 As always, I do have another recommended cat sitter from "Meowtel" as a backup plan in case something were to happen unexpectedly.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always tend to check behind me and make sure any kitties are not following me out the door as kitties do from time to time. I tend to send a video of myself leaving the house, safe and secure. I also videotape the kitties at the door as I'm leaving, so I can ensure you that they're safe and sound. As I do with all of my customers, I videotape the locking of the door, and kitties inside are safe. To make sure your house is safe and secure. I also provide references if needed upon request 😺
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I will do my best to accommodate you and your kitty. I am flexible with every situation, and last-minute requests are welcome 😺 I'll try my very best to make time to fit all 😸 in.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The wrand of course, because it really brings that playfulness they crave the idea of catch and release. And it comes also comes with some great photo shots during play.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I create a treat trail at feeding time that will capture their attention. If that doesn’t work, using string or a toy almost always does the trick. Engaging them in conversation is also key, and making them feel included.

Mary took great care of both of our cats. Our elder cat requires medicine twice a day and Mary took great care of her. Mary was able to make a courtesy visit to walk through the cat items, medication distribution, and meet both cats so they can get used to a new person. Mary was quick at responding and understanding on the schedule changes or last-minute things with the cats. I appreciate her work and responsibilities and would love for her to watch our cats again.

Always a pleasure to have Mary visit with our 2 cats and entertain them. Mary is consistent with providing updates and many photos/videos. Our cats seem to really enjoy her visits and wait for her at the door for each visit. She even got my shy cat to be playful and take her medicine. Mary did a fabulous job with my Dani! She texted me when she would be arriving and updated me as to where Dani was hiding. She sent several photos. Dani came out of her hiding spot within the 45 minutes for pets and treats because she is initially shy but warms up to cat people! I will be hiring Mary whenever I go out of town.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Palm Bay cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
