What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

My first cat was 7 years old when I found a stray kitten I've always loved cats. They're so unpredictable, they have so much personality of their own, and each one is different. Some can be a little difficult but when giving time I've managed to bring around the best out of kitties.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Playtime is the perfect opportunity to relax and get to know your kitty, and built trust a great way for them to warm up to some much-needed cuddles😻

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Mittens and Pumpkin. 🎃 is my new addition to the family and she is still adjusting, quite funny, and quite a demanding kitty as we only had her for about 2 months.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Allow the cat to approach you at their own pace. It's essential to let them warm up to the idea of having someone else in their environment while their owner is away especially. You might consider leaving an old shirt or blanket near their sleeping area that carries your scent. This way, they will recognize that you are still there. Plus, they'll have something comforting to cuddle with that reminds them of you, and rest assured, it will ease their anxiousness until your return. 😼 As always, I do have another recommended cat sitter from "Meowtel" as a backup plan in case something were to happen unexpectedly.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always tend to check behind me and make sure any kitties are not following me out the door as kitties do from time to time. I tend to send a video of myself leaving the house, safe and secure. I also videotape the kitties at the door as I'm leaving, so I can ensure you that they're safe and sound. As I do with all of my customers, I videotape the locking of the door, etc. To make sure your house is safe and secure. I also provide references if needed upon request

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I will do my best to accommodate you and your kitty. I am flexible with every situation, and last-minute requests are welcome 😺

What is your favorite cat toy?

The wrand of course, because it really brings that playfulness they crave the idea of catch and release. And it comes also comes with some great photo shots during play.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I create a treat trail at feeding time that will capture their attention. If that doesn’t work, using string or a toy almost always does the trick. Engaging them in conversation is also key, and making them feel included.
