One of my favorite things is getting to know each individual personality. Some are shy and need time to feel comfortable, some are playful and full of energy, some are independent, and some decide within five minutes that you’re their new best friend... Cats have been a huge part of my life since I was 8 years old, and I’ve had them continuously for about 19 years. My first cat, Itsy, was with me from childhood until she passed away at 17, so I learned firsthand how important patience, routine, and paying attention to the little things can be when caring for someone you love.
One of my favorite things is getting to know each individual personality. Some are shy and need time to feel comfortable, some are playful and full of energy, some are independent, and some decide within five minutes that you’re their new best friend. 😂 I love figuring out what makes each one feel safe and comfortable, and I’m comfortable caring for kittens, adults, and seniors, including basic medication.
During visits, I’ll keep their normal routine as consistent as possible, make sure they have fresh food and water, keep their litter box clean, and give them attention, playtime, or space depending on what they’re comfortable with. I’ll also pay attention to their behavior and anything that seems unusual so you can feel confident knowing how they’re doing while you’re away.
I genuinely love getting to know the little personalities that make each one so special. I’ll probably end up having a whole conversation with yours during my visit. 😆 My goal is for them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re gone, and for you to feel like they’re in good hands. 🥹💗

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I’ve always been fascinated by cats and their personalities. They are my favorite animal, and I love how every cat is completely different. I find them so interesting and funny, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know them, earning their trust, and seeing all their little quirks come out. 😊
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one cat of my own, Megumi, whose name means “blessing” in Japanese, and she definitely lives up to it. 😂 I’ve had many cats in my life since I was little, and my first cat of my own was Itsy, who was with me from the time I was 8 until she passed away at 17. I’ve also cared for many cats belonging to friends, family, and Rover clients over the years.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I never try to force a timid or anxious cat to interact with me. I give them time and let them come to me when they’re ready. I’ll talk to them softly, sit nearby, and use treats or play if they’re interested. I pay attention to their body language and respect their boundaries. I think cats are incredibly interesting because they all communicate differently, and patience is really important when earning the trust of a nervous cat. 💕

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
