Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My absolute favorite reservation has been caring for four sweet kitties—Mango, Leopard, Kiss, and Kiwi! Kiwi was my favorite; she was so loving and had extra toes lol so cute! It was just such an amazing vibe. When I’d lay down to go to sleep, all four cats would pile up and sleep right on top of me. They were fairly young, so they’d make biscuits and act like they were trying to nurse on my thigh before drifting off. It was the most adorable thing ever! I formed such a strong bond with them that I still have their picture as my phone wallpaper to this day.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I prioritize clear communication, organization, and zero guesswork. Every cat has unique needs, and I treat them like the beloved family members they are. I start by carefully reviewing the parent’s instructions and creating structured checklists for every detail of their care routine. from feeding and medication to daily play. During the visit, I send frequent photo and video updates so owners have complete peace of mind. If any unexpected question comes up, I never guess—I reach out immediately to confirm how the owner wants it handled. My goal is to follow your exact standards so you can relax knowing your fur baby is in attentive, capable hands.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
You basically have to leave them alone until they feel comfortable enough to come up to you and get to know you. When you first meet a shy cat, you get on their level and offer your hand to sniff, but if they run away, you give them space. You have to remember: you're in their house and their territory. Just because we're bigger humans doesn't mean anything to them—they need time to adjust. I feel like people who don't understand cats just don't understand boundaries. Cats have boundaries just like we do, and respecting that is the key to getting them to trust you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
