My visits would be to ensure your kitty is comfortable, has ... Hello! I am a cat mom of 4 beautiful babes, ranging in age from 5 months to 15 years. I have owned cats pretty much all of my life and can’t imagine a life without one (or two) around. I am skilled with insulin injections (our oldest has diabetes), I am familiar with other health issues that require special diets - CKD to be more specific, and I have some experience with giving oral antibiotics, eye and ear drops if or when needed.
My visits would be to ensure your kitty is comfortable, has food, water, and a clean litter box if needed. I most definitely would give pets any playtime if that is your kitty’s thing, but if your fur baby just needs some pets and companionship, I am here for that too. It’s all about being able to read the personality of each cat, and respecting it. I have a calm and reassuring demeanor and I haven’t met a kitty I haven’t liked (or vice versa). I would be honored to be able to step in and provide the love your kitty needs while you are away. Thank you!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! We have four: oldest alpha female is Smokey, she is a diabetic and is in charge of the cat fam 😂; our oldest big boy kitty is a large Siamese named Huckleberry - he loves belly rubs and is such a sweetheart; then we have Biscuit, our almost 2 1/2 year old dilute orange tabby - he is super shy and terrified of thunderstorms, so this momma’s boy needs extra assurance at times; finally, we have our newest babe - Cheddar, who is a super spunky dare-devil, Flame Point Siamese. He is also a bit of a momma’s boy too…. Actually, all my boys are if you asked my husband.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When looking for a cat sitter, it is important to know your sitter is trustworthy, has or has had cats of their own or several years of experience with them. I know not everyone can own a cat possibly due to living situations, but having experience with them, liking them or having a big heart towards them, is very important. It is also important for your kitty(ies) to be comfortable with their sitter as well so meet and greets are a great way to establish familiarity with one another.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Since I do have one of these personality types currently of my own (and have had a couple in the past), I like to get down to their physical level to ensure them I am not here to scare them even more I then speak in a calm, reassuring manner using their name and letting them know it’s alright.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
