What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've been doing this for 10+ years. It's in my blood! I started out with neighbor's kitties, networked my way through the Sanford/Lake Mary area, and have found myself on Meowtel trying to help kitties and their parents every day!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My best advice? The sitter must click with the cat as much as they click with you. Humans are social beings, but we forget that the kitty is the beneficiary of our relationship. No matter if it's me or another sitter, never underestimate how your cat feels about their potential sitter. Make sure the kitty likes them just as much as you do! Read their body language, gauge their interaction levels, and trust their instinct on who is the right fit to care for them in your absense. It will help you and your cat in the long run!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes I am! I do not travel during the holiday season, and love to be able to take the pressure of the holiday festivities by being an available sitter for your kitties!

What is your favorite cat toy?

A great friend of mine makes these awesome hand-sewn puzzle mats. So I have to say that is my favorite!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Cats, like people, have boundaries that must be respected. My job is to keep the environment in the home as stress-free as possible for your cat(s) in your absence. While I always love to give kitties the attention they deserve, if petting an anxious kitty is too much for them, I never force the issue. Instead, I choose to have conversation with them! I'll talk to them, say their name, all in a calming voice so they know I am not a threat. I find that my timid kitties really enjoy it, they never feel left out while respecting the boundaries they gave me to stay in their comfort zone. It's a win-win!

Jenna is an extremely attentive, conscientious and caring cat sitter! She took the time to meet my cat and I to overview my cat’s needs and care prior to our reservation. She also sent me frequent updates during the reservation, including photos and videos of my cat. She kept me at-ease, and I was fully confident that my cat was well taken care of during my absence. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
