My favorite thing to do is grow a strong and comfortable relationship with my feline pet sits. I know that a majority of cats take time to warm up, and I’m willing to put the time and work in so they’re 100% comfortable with me.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve had 9 years of experience in vet med and 6 years with pet sitting. I’ve doing quick drop in visits for a cat, I’ve spent a majority of my day at the house, and/or I’ve spent the night (depending on what the owner would prefer). I’ve worked with owners family/friends to administer oral and subcutaneous meds and they’re out of town and they’re feline friend is not wanting to cooperate for them.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I typically start with a meet and greet. This can be 10-30 minutes with the owner where they can walk me through their cat’s daily routine so the owners feel comfortable leaving their family member in my care 💜
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Typically I would like to take a quick peak from a safe distance at the meet and greet so they can see me. Sometimes I offer to leave a shirt of mine at the house for 2-3 days before I start my visits so the cat has time to smell my scent leading up to my visiting (this has worked wonders in the past) For visits, I’ll arrive and make sure I find where the nervous cat is hiding so I can make sure they’re alert, responsive, and looking comfortable. Then I’ll make sure I take care of any food/litter box needs. After that, I’ll grab either a toy, brush, or favorite treat (that I’ll learn about at the meet and greet) and hang out on the floor in an open room so the nervous kitty can approach me if they’d like.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
