Play time with cats... My name is Marilyn. I am a huge animal lover, especially cats. I have fostered kittens throughout the past 3 years. I have two cats of my own who make my life whole. I am comfortable around all different kinds of cats and kitten and administering medicines if needed.
Play time with cats is always a good time. I am comfortable coming by and making sure litter boxes are clean and feeding and completing anything necessary for your specific cat needs. Again, I have many years experience with all kinds of kittens and cats and any necessary medicine administration as needed

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
While I haven’t had much experience cat sitting, I did foster between 2018-2021. I fostered and found home for around 10 kittens throughout my time. Some were healthier than others but I am very comfortable taking time to allow the cat to become acquainted with me and I’m willing to do anything to ensure the cat or kitten is happy and feeling well.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The thing I enjoy the most is getting to experience different cat personalities. Each cat is unique in its mannerisms and personalities and I love exploring those and having fun.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats. A calico named Emma who was a foster fail during COVID. She was a little thing that I was blessed to save. My husbands cat Nauru is a Russian blue and she’s a sweet girl who lets you know when it’s time to eat
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Don’t be afraid to reach out. As I am just starting out, I would appreciate someone reaching out to see if I would be a good fit to cat sit. Ask all the questions and have open communication
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I strive to make sure that a new cat parent feels comfortable knowing that they’re fur babies will be in good hands while away. I take notes of instructions & make sure to ask any questions I may have prior to reservation to make sure I understand what is needed for care.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I like to make sure I get eyes on all cats in the home. I totally understand if/when cats are fearful and hide. I just try to make sure that everyone is safely accounted for and keep them comfortable.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available during the holidays. I tend to stick around the Sanford/Deland Area. We have family we like to spend time with and so we feel lucky to be able to stay close to home
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love how simple cats can be. I used to make toys for my first cat from Publix plastic bags, tie a few knots and get him to jump and he’d love it. A cats favorite toy is usually an empty box with some catnip
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I try to come to a timid or anxious cat patiently. I have learned while fostering that getting a cat to relax takes time and patience and it’s the little moments that help make them comfortable

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
