I'm Ciara
Cat Sitting in Tallahassee, FL
I am Ciara (CJ for short)! I am a cat parent of 3 looking to help other owners keep an extra special eye on their fur babies. When I start a home visit, I prefer to enter slowly and let cats sniff me first so they get used to me. Once they feel safe, I love to shower them with scritches and affection, and play with them using their favorites toys. I also like to give cats their very important “me-time” as to not overstimulate them... Hello fellow cat parents!

As far as my personality goes, I’m very quiet and soft-spoken, and I prefer to keep my energy neutral around cats so they know I’m a friend. I have experience with applying topical medications like preventatives on cats as well as giving medication (either hidden in food or using a pill pusher). I am also experienced with nutrition management, portioning food, replacing water, and hygiene (like cleaning litter boxes) and I will notify you of every tasks that I’ve completed during the visit.
If you’re looking for someone that will help you stay on top of the more menial tasks and save you some time, please consider reaching out!
Learn More About Ciara
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats as of right now; Pepper, Indigo, and Korin. Pepper is my senior cat and she was so anxious when I first got her. With lots of patience and love, she learned to get out of her shell and now she loves to go searching for scritches. Indigo and Korin are my most recent additions. Indigo is a 4 yo tuxedo and she’s a huge eater. Korin is also 4 and such a loving little guy. If he could attach himself to you permanently, he would!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I am almost always at home during the holidays so if you’re looking for someone to look after your babies during longer holidays like Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, I’ve got you.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I really love the 3-tier ball tower! Watching cats entertain themselves by smacking the balls never gets old. Some runner-ups for me are teaser toys (with the feather removed so there’s no choking risk) and the flopping fish toys.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Tallahassee cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $21.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
