What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
i have volunteered since i was 15 at shelters and have had and fostered multiple cats. this cat sitting passion sparked when a friend went on a vacation, and left her cat at my house for the week. i got so attached to her cat that i begged my mom for weeks for one until we stumbled upon my rescue kitkat
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
i enjoy getting to know each little ones personality. especially since kitties are picky i love making them feel comfortable.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
my baby kitkat who is 11 now i rescued her and we took a long time to build such a close bond but now we are inseparable.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
take your time and ask any questions that come to mind. your comfort comes first and foremost. i always reccomend creating a list of things to leave for the sitter that is in your usual routine especially for feeding process and medications.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
i ensure all alarms are properly set. and all doors are locked behind me as soon as i am on the property.
Are you usually available during holidays?
most holidays i am available. however christmas and thanksgiving i would need to be messaged beforehand. if visits are booked on these dates it may be a very late evening visit.
What is your favorite cat toy?
little feathers are so fun, yarn is great too. i also just found out about fake lizard toys those are fun too.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
i am patient and i try my best not to overwhelm them. i make sure to keep a respectful distance while properly caring for them. most of the time they warm up after a few visits once they know i am the human providing food haha.

Ranice was the reason why I could take a 10-day vacation with absolutely zero worries about my furkiddos. She's also earned the honor of being the only cat sitter for whom both of my cats came out of hiding for, during the FIRST visit! She's sweet, thoughtful and absolutely meticulous about taking notes and following even the most neurotic cat parent's checklist. My Magic and Belly seemed disappointed when I came home and not their new friend Ranice!

Despite booking Ranice less than 48 hours in advance due to unexpected travel, she made time to visit my home to get familiar with our cats and understand what was needed. While away she went above and beyond in terms of cleanliness, and really made sure my cats were shown affection. Her communication skills are excellent and I will definitely continue with her services moving forward!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

West Palm Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
