Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I have a family of cats that I sit for regularly (7 cats!!) that are always a joy without fail. They all came from a colony that lives outside that I also take care of during my time, and getting to see so many cats every and check in with all of them is a joy. 🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛🐈
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I do! I have one cat right now, she’s a little black cat named Toothless. (and yes, she does look and act exactly like the dragon.)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety and security is incredibly important, especially around cats, which involves a lot of home inspection and carefulness when it comes to doors opening, cabinets, and objects on the floor. My cat loves to explore places and find random things to chew, so one of my main jobs as her cat mom is to keep those things out of the way and keep her out of places that could be dangerous for her to get stuck in. This would be continued during cat sitting as well, along with keeping a close eye on our furry friends.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My cat can also be incredibly anxious in new situations, and I’ve learned the most helpful thing you can provide is comfort and security in some way. Items of comfort are very important, as well as letting the cat sniff me and get to know my smell before deciding anything else. Past that, whatever the cat feels up to we’ll do, and I will continue to be quiet and calm to alleviate stress as much as possible.

We were so pleased with the care provided. Our usually skittish feline companion, Chickle, seemed remarkably at ease. Our Baby Fio was also a big fan. She did try to trick me into giving her treats when I got home, but, I knew Nix already gave them to her. It's clear a genuine connection was made. We would certainly recommend their services. They were truly fantastic. Thank you so much Nix!! The updates and pics provided by Nix was awesome. I'd recommend them 100%. Baby Fio and Chickle were so at ease and calm when we got home!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Savannah cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Nix is incredibly patient, level-headed, and kind. They have their own Kitty who receives wonderful levels of care. She is the picture of a flourishing cat. Nix has been around cats their entire life so they have plenty of experience. There is no one I would trust more to watch over my animal.
