I currently have 3 kitties. Gunther (Gunthie-Bear) is about 9 years old and such a special guy. We adopted him when he was around 2–3 years old. If you’ve ever seen Fishtopher on social media, he reminds me a lot of him—sweet, soulful, and impossible not to love. To be loved is to be changed🧡 Zozo (Poki) is my big 13-pound Maine Coon mix baby. He’s the protector of the house, the welcoming committee, and our Chief Executive Biscuit Maker. My most loyal soldier🫡 Stormio is the newest addition to our family and my tiny baby child. At just 4 months old, he’s full of curiosity, energy, and affection. We found him alone on the beach. We think he may have been born during the storms and lost his family, but he has totally completed ours⚡️
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
You have to go with who feels right. No one knows your cat better than you. Meet them in person first and see if they are willing to do a test run or initial meet. Do they ask the right questions? How does you cat react to them? That’s how I always did it.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will follow your routine exactly, double-check doors and windows, and keep the space safe for exploring. I will always make sure your cat is safe, settled, and accounted for before I leave, and I treat your home with the same respect as my own.

Tj was an absolute Godsend! My sitter canceled last minute, and Tj was incredibly responsive and helpful in setting up the sit just a few days before I had to leave. She was also patient and flexible in setting up alternating overnights with daily check-ins since my cat was recovering from an infection and needed a little extra care. As a sitter, Tj was an absolute dream. My kitty is still fairly new to my home and remains a bit skittish, but she took to Tj right away and it was clear through Tj's daily check-ins with me that she was caring for my cat as though it was her own fur baby. I'd definitely love to have her back.

TJ spent meaningful time with Trippy during their visits, Trippy was comfortable and excited for her visits. TJ medicated trippy without any issue and litterbox and food area was spotless when I got home. lots of care went into her petsitting!

TJ was absolutely stellar. She was great with communication, sent pictures, and kept us updated while we were away. She was also great with monitoring our cat with medical conditions and we had no worries while gone. She was super understanding as well with the shyness of our cat. She was extremely patient and even found him hiding in the ultimate hiding spot. By the end of the trip she was the favorite and our Tabby was pouting that she was gone. Cannot recommend TJ enough.

I can’t thank TJ enough for her help with my cat Mika. She is thorough, caring of your pet, and thoughtful in what she does. I didn’t worry once on my trip, which never happens for me. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Honolulu cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
