About me:
I work as an occupational therapist part time within the community where I help individuals increase their functional independence. In my free time, I enjoy baking sourdough from scratch, taking our dogs on hikes, snuggling with my cats while I drink my morning coffee, and playing music with my spouse on the weekends.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats currently: Matcha and Yoshi. I adopted Matcha when she was a teenager, rescued off the streets of St. Louis and adopted from Gateway Pet Guardians after giving birth to her first and final litter of kittens. Yoshi was brought into my life via the ‘cat distribution system’ in which a coworker who was allergic to cats had rescued a litter of kittens in her neighborhood. I took Yoshi home when he was a 10 week old kitten and have looked after him since.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
For new engagements: I am happy to communicate via text or phone call, and I will want to gather the following information. -How many cats and what are their names? -What are their meal preferences (time/quantity/special needs)? -Where are the litter boxes located? -Any behavioral concerns or quirks? What’s their personality like? -What are the house rules? (E.g. Some pet owners request reinforcement of cats being removed off countertops or prevented from entering certain rooms.)
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have worked with and been around a variety of feline temperaments and have always learned that it is best to allow the cat to approach first. I do my best to project a feeling of safety and comfort for the critters. I often sing and hum gently when first meeting new cats, utilize slow-blinking, and non-aggressive body language, as well as allow for generous space.

I can honestly say, during our time being roommates Peregrin always cared for my cat like she was her own. She is reliable, kind, and very attentive to cats’ needs. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
