What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Honestly, I just love spending time with cats! It's so rewarding to get to know their quirky personalities & watch them do their silly cat things. Whether I'm playing with them, cuddling up on the couch, or just observing them from afar, it always brings a smile to my face.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my favorite cat-sitting experiences was with these two siblings, Milo & Otis. They were the most playful kitties! We had a blast chasing laser pointers & playing with feather toys. They were so full of energy, & it was so much fun to keep up with them. It's these kinds of days that remind me why I love cat-sitting – it's always an adventure!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

When choosing a sitter, prioritize someone who values clear communication and attention to detail. Look for a professional who is comfortable following specific medical or dietary instructions and who genuinely adapts their approach to your cat’s unique personality, whether they are a high-energy kitten or a quiet senior. Always ensure your sitter offers home care extras, like bringing in mail or watering plants, to provide true peace of mind while you are away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Getting to know a new cat & their human is always the first step! We typically begin with a brief Google Meets consultation. This allows us to learn more about each other & ensure a good fit. You’ll share insights into your cat’s unique personality & preferred playtime activities. During this call, we can also schedule a convenient time for a meet-&-greet. This gives me the opportunity to meet your cat in person, get a feel for their home environment, & further understand your needs. Throughout my time caring for your cat, I'll keep you updated on how they're doing. I'm always available to answer any questions you might have, & I'm happy to share photos & videos of your furry friend having fun. Building a good relationship with both you & your cat is important to me. I want to make sure your cat feels comfortable & happy while you're away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

* Keep a close eye on the kitties: Make sure they don't try to escape through open windows or doors during playtime. * Keep things tidy: Clean up any messes & keep the litter box fresh. * Keep them entertained: Play with them, give them puzzle toys, & make sure they have plenty to keep them busy. * Stay in touch: Let the owners know how their fur babies are doing throughout the day.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

* Respect their space: Give them plenty of hiding spots & let them come to you on their own terms. * Go slow: Avoid sudden movements or loud noises. * Offer treats: Use treats to build positive associations with you. * Be patient: It may take time for them to warm up, & that's okay! Most importantly, be gentle & understanding. Every cat is different, so what works for one may not work for another.
