What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I really enjoy getting to know a cat's personality as they open up to me! Cat's truly have such complex and interesting personalities that can differ so much from one cat to another and getting to see them get comfortable with you is so rewarding. I also love to play with cats! As long as they are happy to do so, playing with a cat is so much fun, and watching them get excited about playtime is cute.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Find a cat sitter that you feel you can trust!! As a cat owner myself, I am very careful when finding someone to watch my cat, and you should be too. Personally, I look for someone who will take the time to really care for my cat, not someone who will rush in and rush out. I think finding someone who has been around cats is helpful, as they will likely better understand a cat's body language and know when to approach a cat vs when to give them space. I also love receiving updates from my cat sitter. Letting you know what was done, how your cat was behaving, and getting a few pictures is important for your piece of mind! Overall, look for someone who would care for your cat like you would and who will be open and honest in their communication/updates with you!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When communicating with a potential new cat parent, it's important to understand their, and their cat's, needs first and foremost. Each cat parent and cat need different things, and in order to provide the best care possible, I need to know what those things are! I'm also open to meet and greets as this allows not only the cat a chance to meet me, but also the cat parent! It gives all of us an opportunity to better get to know each other and what to expect while I'm watching their cat. Plus, they can show me where all the cat essentials are. I also like to ask for a quick checklist from them for what they would like me to do for their cat while they're away, including a brief set of instructions for cat food preparation or anything else that might need it.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
