What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have only officially cat-sit once, however I am a cat mom of 8, so the tasks required in cat sitting are tasks that I perform daily.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most is getting to meet the cats! My own cats have such unique personalities; it is fun to meet some more fur-babies! I also enjoy spending some time playing with them.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I recently cat-sit for a friend, stopping by once a day for a week. I loved getting to know her fur-babies more and making sure they were alright while the family was away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 8 of my own! Their names are Fleur, Pêche, Felice, Skittles, Penny Lane, Dracula, Gargoyle, and Apple Cider.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I have 8 of my own; a few that like to try to run out doors and one that absolutely cannot have anything except his medicated food. There are not many people in this world I would trust to take care of them. Our cats are our children, so finding someone to watch them that cares about doing it correctly is so important. It is very important to me to make sure I am caring for your cats correctly.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Before I come to cat-sit, I will ask for very detailed instructions about how you typically go about feeding and caring for your cats, especially for multiple cats ans if special diets are involved. You know your fur-babies best and I trust your expertise!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always walk the entire home to check if anything was gotten into or broken. If something was broken, especiallg glass, I make sure to check for injuries. When I come in and out of the house, I am very careful to do it slowly in case any escape attempts are made. My own cats have tried this a few times, so it has become second nature for me to be extra careful!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I could absolutely do a drop in on a holiday! I dont often travel anywhere anyways, but feel free to double check with me!

What is your favorite cat toy?

I myself don't have a favorite, but my boy Dracula LOVES the plastic balls with bells inside. He will actually play fetch and bring them back sometimes. My other boy, Gargoyle, loves feather toys and most of my cats enjoy licking at the feathers

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them their space! I have one that doesn't come out hardly except for food and I leave her be. She's very anxious and prefers her space, so I give it to her!
