About a year later, our cat Mystic chose to be part of our family. His nickname was Peekaboo since that was his favorite game! He was an orange and white tabby who loved people and would greet everyone at the door when they walked in... Hi, I'm Lisa! I'm an animal lover with a super soft spot for cats! Growing up, I had 2 cats. The first was Muffin who was a shy, black and white shorthair. She unexpectedly came to our front door and demanded to be part of the family! After checking that she didn't already have a home, my parents and I were so excited to keep and care for her! Muffin loved cuddles and surprisingly belly rubs! Unfortunately, she passed away at the age of 16.
About a year later, our cat Mystic chose to be part of our family. His nickname was Peekaboo since that was his favorite game! He was an orange and white tabby who loved people and would greet everyone at the door when they walked in. He had tons of energy and never wanted playtime to end! Unfortunately, he passed away at age 16 as well.
Now, my husband and I are the proud parents of 2 cats! Before we met, I had Mojito, my husband had Marble, and now we're the Brady Bunch! (The amazing facts about Mojito and Marble are listed in their bios.)
If you ask anyone I know, I have so much patience and love for cats! I don't like giving them medicine (as I'm sure no one does), but I do have experience giving ear drops, pills, liquid into the mouth, ointment on the fur, and subcutaneous fluids. I would definitely help any cat parent give medicine to their cat, but I would not feel comfortable administiring medicine on my own while the pet parent is away.
If you need someone to feed, play, empty the litter, etc., I'm your cat sitter! I've had and been around cats my entire life and I'm so excited to start this new journey of cat sitting! If you have any questions about me or how I can improve your/ your cat's life, feel free to ask! :)

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I am a proud parent to 2 amazing kitties! Mojito is my shy, loveable, cutie patootie boy who loves to eat his dry food! He will literally only eat his pebbles since he seems to be afraid of wet cat food and all people food (including tuna)! Mojito also loves going outside in the yard, watching bunnies and birds, sitting in the sun, and chasing leaves! Marble is my little princess who loves to sing (AKA scream), run around the house like a crazy squirrel, and steal meat and fish right off my plate! She also loves being the center of attention! All pets are good pets and there's never too many! Marble also loves playtime and hiding in her tunnels!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
My advice is listen to your cat(s)! Upon first meet, I want to make sure your cat is comfortable with me and vice versa. It's always the cat that chooses the human, not the other way around. The priority is the cat's happiness and reaction to the new human in your home. During the meet and greet, I want to make sure your cat and I are giving each other good vibes right away!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When handling a cat that is timid or anxious, I give them a little extra time and patience to open up. They need to make sure they can trust me so they can be confident and show off their unique personality! To earn their trust, I first get on the cat's level (usually the floor) and say hi! I talk to them and give slow blinks so they know I'm a friend. I also offer food/treats and introduce play when they seem a little more comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fishers cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
