As the owner of multiple medically complex cats, I understand how stressful it can be to leave them while you are out of town. My goal is to provide peace of mind to owners in this unique position by ensuring their cats receive the specialized attention and care they need... My name is Saige and I am a seasoned traveling cat sitter. I am married to my high school sweetheart and the proud owner of five cats. I begged my whole life for a cat and my family agrees that I was born to be a cat lady. Cats are a fundamental part of my identity.
As the owner of multiple medically complex cats, I understand how stressful it can be to leave them while you are out of town. My goal is to provide peace of mind to owners in this unique position by ensuring their cats receive the specialized attention and care they need. As a pharmacist, I am detail oriented, dependable, and very mindful of routines and instructions. I have extensive experience administering medications for various feline conditions, including heart disease, anxiety, eye/ear issues, and lung conditions (such as asthma). I am also skilled in monitoring blood sugar, administering insulin, and providing inhaled medications.
Whether your cat is social, shy, young or old, or has medical needs that require lots of attention, my focus is on keeping their day to day schedules consistent, their stress levels low, and their environment clean and comfortable. My promise is that your cat will receive the love, patience, and attention they deserve while you are away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting in general since about 2010, but since 2015 I have started to care for medically complex cats in addition to my general clientele.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love being able to interact with cats of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I love that no two cats are alike. I have been a cat person my whole life and my family calls me the cat magnet.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite long standing cat sitting reservation is for a cat who has congestive heart failure. I have been watching him since 2015 and I have loved watching him grow with me. I am now the only other person he will interact with and take medications from. It makes me feel so incredibly special to be one of his people.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Solomon is my 11 year old tuxedo. He's the biggest cuddler you will ever meet! Sherman is my 11 year old brown long haired cat. He is more quiet than compared to our other cats, but when he is in a snuggly mood he will create his own pool of drool. Chester is my 11 year old gray and white diabetic. Chester has a lot of medical issues and trauma, so he is a bit high needs and not snuggly, but a gentle giant. Boka is my 1 year old white cat who has symblepharon in both her eyes making it hard for her to see. She also has respiratory issues from when she was extremely sick as a kitten. Soka is my 1 year old buff/orange/creamcicle cat were rescued the same time as Boka. He is the definition of an orange cat and an ornery little guy!
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am very flexible during holidays and I am absolutely happy to check in on your babies! Traveling is so much fun, especially during the holidays, but I know how important it is to make your your fur babies are safe and cared for too!
What is your favorite cat toy?
We are absolutely team feather toy! My cats have tons of toys that we indulge in and we are always buying more to see what they like as well!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Ottawa cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
