I got my first cat at 10 years old and I’ve had one ever since! Since high school, I’ve been consistently employed by family and friends as a cat sitter. I even volunteered at my local animal shelter in the cat department during my gap year after college. There, I played with the cats to keep them company and I cleaned up after them. I am great with all cats and have never met one I didn’t love! I approach them with an understanding of their independence and I never try to push them out of their comfort zone! I’m currently enrolled in a doctorate program in New Orleans, so I can work part time. My love and understanding of cats and their personalities will set me apart from any other sitter on this app!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for family and friends for roughly 10 years. During this time I volunteered at my local cat animal shelter.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one cat! Her name is Charli and she’s the best. She loves ponytails and exploring new decorations/objects in the house! She’s a black cat with a white belly and she came into my life exactly 1 week after my first cat passed. She’s exactly what I needed!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I never approach them quickly / loudly as that can scare them away. Always let them come to you! Also, if the cat does start to warm up to me, I’ll sit on the ground and allow them to get more comfortable. It’s always best to approach them with caution and care!

Renin did a great job. my cats were very well cared for. litter box was changed, litter on floor was vacuumed. food and water were fresh. daily updates/pics. I trust her enough that she has my house key and alarm code for next time as I travel frequently.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
