What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is spending time with different cats and getting to know their unique personalities. I especially love when shy cats start to relax and show their playful side. It’s really rewarding to help cats feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have two cats! Smarty is my 11-year-old orange boy who’s super chill and laid-back. Kiwi is my 2-year-old tortie and full of energy. She’s playful and a little wild, but so sweet. They balance each other out perfectly!
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy has got to be the laser pointer. It’s crazy how much cats love that little red dot!

Krista was awesome! When our auto-feeder's battery ran out while we were away, Krista came by for an additional visit. She was very flexible and thoughtful, and adapted to my kitty's mood to snuggle instead of play. We are grateful and will book again!

I had such a great experience with Krista watching my cat, Walter, while I was out of town. From our first meeting, it was clear she really understand cats and love what they do. Walter can be picky about people, but Krista was patient and gentle, and by the second day, they were best buds! Every day, I got a quick update with photos, which was so reassuring. Krista made sure the litter box was spotless, the food and water were fresh, and even gave Walter plenty of playtime and cuddles. It really made being away from home so much easier knowing he was in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone responsible, kind, and truly attentive to your pet’s needs, Krista is the one. I will be booking her again!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Boston cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
