I’m very observant when first meeting a new cat, checking their body language and ensuring they feel safe around me. This tends to lean into their curious nature, and even shy cats tend to open up to me very quickly. I have a shy tuxedo cat myself, King Arthur! I like to let cats scent and sniff me, getting used to my presence before i start to play, offer treats, or other preferred activities. ... Im very laid back and like to let the cat show me what they need, whether that be space, attention, or play. I am very flexible to a cats needs and understand the importance of maintaining routines for their well being. I have experience administering oral and topical medications to senior cats.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a senior tuxedo cat named King Arthur! He’s very shy and a little chunky. He’s suspicious of new people but always a gentleman.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I scan the floor for anything a cat might be attracted to: cords, string, feathers, plastic, dead plants. then dispose of it or put it away out of reach. I make sure the home doors and windows are locked when leaving.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I let them come to me! Allowing them to approach me at their own pace builds trust much more quickly. I find some cats prefer to sniff or rub on my shoes across the room to begin becoming familiar with my scent. I get low to the ground and quiet and close my eyes slowly when they look at me, to advise them that i am not a threat, only a new friend.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
