What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process is to start off with a short phone or video call to get to know more about the owner, their cat, and their expectations for me as a sitter to see if we are a good fit! To enhance the experience for all parties involved(especially the kitty), I would love to know the their daily routine(feeding times, types of food and medication they take, emergency contacts such as vets, relevant protocols, etc).

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love the feather wand cat you! My cat goes crazy playing and chasing after it, and it helps get him some excerise time(especially since he is indoor only). The one precaution I take is making sure my cat doesn’t chew or eat on the feather to avoid any choking hazards.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When I first got my cat, he was a scared little thing who had been moving from place to place due to his owners instability, therefore making him very anxious and scared. I used the 3-3-3 rule for him, which is 3 days to decompress(in a designated room), 3 weeks to learn our routines and also develop his own since he never had a stable one, and 3 months to start feeling at home(especially since he moved around so much prior). Who he is now as a cat is vastly different from how he started, which is a much more social, active, and friendly feline! Because of my experience with him, I believe I will successfully be able to interact with cats of this nature :)

Zaina was amazing! We needed last minute care for our two cats and Zaina was able to come meet them on short notice and took wonderful care of our babies. One of our cats has asthma and needs an inhaler twice a day, and Zaina expertly administered it for him. She was delightful, kind and easy to talk to! 10/10

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
