I have nearly a decade of hands-on experience caring for cats through volunteer work with multiple shelters including: KC Pet Project, Darbster Kitty, and Sweet Paws Rescue. Through this work, I’ve cared for cats with a wide range of personalities, including shy, anxious, and “difficult” cats that need extra patience and attention. I’ve fostered kitties that were hard to adopt and helped destress anxious cats that came through intake.

I understand how important it is to keep your cat’s routine consistent and stress-free while you’re away... I’ve worked from home for my past few full time roles which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be reliable and consistent with visit timing. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make your time away as worry-free as possible.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new kitties and ensuring they get the proper care they deserve when their owners are busy through travel or other obligations

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 3 kitties myself all adopted! Heather and Haze are a bonded pair of siblings I got when I lived in KC as kittens. Romi is a foster failure that I couldn’t give up once she bonded to me

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

The first step always starts with a meet and greet where I enter the home, meet the cats, and go over basic care instructions. I make sure to ask detailed questions so that there’s no uncertainty. If medication is required I make sure I understand exact doses and timing.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I occasionally schedule vacations around long weekends at work but I’m typically available during the big holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc).

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’m always super respectful of cat’s space and their boundaries. I’ve won many cats over by speaking softly to them and letting them warm up to me on their own terms. If a cat is particularly food or play motivated it definitely makes things easier!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
