Cats have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, with 4 cats in the home growing up as well as weekly volunteer hours at my local SPCA shelter throughout college. I was a volunteer for socializing new cats to the shelter, which included everything from playing with kittens to simply being a calm presence in the room that senior cats could slowly approach at their own pace. I've worked with a large variety of kitty personalities and have to say I love them all, even the grumpy ones ;) I'm also a hobby photographer, so happy to send kitty photos as requested!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats—a grumpy 18-year-old Maine Coon mix named Hollywood and a sweet but skittish 16-year-old gray tabby named Sarge (full name Sergeant Theodore Snuggles).

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I am happy to follow any directions for cats, no matter how specific—I know some have peculiar preferences, but routine is always helpful for making a cat more comfortable. I'd ask for any details that the cat parent would like known for the caretaking of their cat. I also have experience in administering medication to cats and other small animals, so happy to help in whatever way the cat parent needs.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

The quieter, more shy, more anxious kitties always have a soft spot in my heart as my cat at home is the same. I'm happy to take things as slow and gentle as needed to help a cat feel more comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
