During visits, I make sure cats are fed as needed, that the litter is scooped, the floor is swept as needed from the litter mess that accumulates throughout the week, and playing with them. I enjoy leaving cats better than I found them, especially when they are tired after playing.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I really enjoy playing with cats- especially using a wand toy- as I feel it encourages them to activate their hunting instincts. Its good for indoor cats to have enough playtime so they dont get bored

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two adorable cats named Kara and Biber- it means black pepper in Turkish. They are my world and I love them with everything!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Ask the cat sitter to come visit the home so you can introduce them to your cat and make sure its a good fit. Its also good to have them over before a visit so they can take detailed notes of the care you expect so that they can provide quality service.

Mikah was a fantastic sitter and pal for our Ollie while my boyfriend and I were traveling! She was very communicative and provided thorough updates with lots of photos and videos after each visit. She went above and beyond, taking initiative to take out the trash and water the plants without us needing to ask on top of feeding, cleaning the litter box, and administering his medication. We highly recommend Mikah if you are looking for a petsitter and will definitely be reaching out to her for any future bookings!

Mikah is the best! She took great care for my kitties while we were away and went above and beyond to check on our fish and water my plants through a heat wave. My one boy has history of crystals and blockages from stress, so I always get nervous leaving him. Mikah was super receptive to my concerns and gave him plenty of love and playtime to ease any stress! If we weren’t moving I would hire Mikah again in a heartbeat!!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
