I live in Somerville with two 11-year-old twin boys that I adopted together as kittens. We moved up here from Tampa, FL in April of 2022, and have been absolutely loving our new lives! One of my cats is diabetic, which has been quite the struggle to get under control, however, that has also allowed me to get comfortable (and a little creative) with giving injections and medicine! These boys have truly been my babies throughout their lives, and I want to make you feel like yours will be cared for just the same.

Those experiences, combined with wanting to start focusing on doing things that bring me more joy in life, are what have led me here, and ready to make other people's lives easier!
When I'm not working, you might catch me axe-throwing in Somerville, shopping in Salem, trying the innumerable restaurants throughout the city, and generally exploring different parts of Boston and New England in general.
My weeks are somewhat flexible, so depending on our proximity to each other in Boston and the Somerville area, I may be able to check on your kitties before or after I get off work at 5pm. I want to give you the best care possible, so while I live in Somerville, I am happy to branch outside of Boston if time and public transit permits. I will do my best to work with you if you are a considerable distance away!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been cat sitting for a couple of years now, but I've been a cat-mom for 11 years and counting!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Knowing that I'm able to help others fulfill their plans with peace of mind, and being able to meet all sorts of new kitties with all of their unique personalities.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite reservation so far involved the sweetest orange boy, who had so much affection to give. He was an absolute delight, and had the sweetest meow too 😻 He wanted so much love that he kept stepping in front of me and almost tripping me!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Biscuit and Bunbun! They're brothers, and I adopted them together when they were kittens, and turned me into the cat person I am today.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Don't be afraid to ask questions to your potential cat-sitter, and try to be as definitive as possible when discussing your travel dates/times. At least speaking for myself, I need to plan my public transportation routes around my working schedule, so having as much information as possible from a client makes it easier for me to confirm their request more quickly.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
The first thing I do is reach out shortly after accepting their booking to figure out how soon they'd like to have the Meet & Greet. After that, I make sure to have their spare key in a safe location until it's time for the first day of checking on their fur babies! Before or during cat-sitting, I always stay in contact to work out any potential logistics.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I immediately lock the door behind me when I enter the home, and as I check things like food/water/litter, I also check to see if any potential risks may have been forgotten. For example, cups with liquid still in them that could be spilled or consumed by the cat, or scraps that could be chewed or swallowed.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I'm almost always available during holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I get on their level and slowly approach them as closely as they'll let me. Treats are always a good way to bridge the gap! If I can get some ear scratches, I try to get some other pets down their back to get them gradually more comfortable around me.

Coral was fantastic and I would definitely reserve her services again! She was reliable and communicative and was able to administer insulin to one of my two cats. I have no doubt that with more time, she would have mastered the other (less friendly, way more shy) cat. I am so happy to have found someone I can count on. The cats were healthy, the litter was clean, and I felt good about leaving my boys with her. I highly recommend.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

Weekends are the easiest — I work full-time (9am-5pm, M-F) but I work from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I will do my best to be flexible outside those working hours for you, especially if you’re near Somerville!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Somerville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
