My name is Wendy, and I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and I understand that pets are family. When caring for your furry family members, I believe in being dependable, arriving on time, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for them.
As the proud owner of eight cats and one dog, I have extensive hands-on experience caring for pets with a variety of needs. Several of my cats are on specialized diets, both my dog and one of my cats receive daily medications, and another cat requires allergy injections every 21 days. Four of my cats are shelter rescues, and the other four are Maine Coons, giving me experience with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and care requirements.
Whether your pet needs medication, special feeding instructions, extra playtime, cuddles, or simply a comforting presence while you’re away, I am committed to providing the same level of love and attention that I give my own animals. My goal is to ensure your fur baby feels safe, happy, healthy, and loved while you’re away, giving you peace of mind knowing they are in caring and capable hands.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My family includes eight cats and one dog. Merlin, my 17-year-old long-haired cat, is my snuggle buddy. Carter, 15, is a fun-loving black-and-white cat, while Maze, 12, is full of personality. Phoebe, an 11-year-old black cat, was once a foster who struggled to thrive and is now a happy, healthy 5-pound sweetheart. My four Maine Coons include Soren, my sweet orange cream “lion”; Cassian, a gentle giant with a loud voice; Aelin, a silver-shaded torbie princess; and Loki, a shaded silver boy who has blossomed into a confident cat after months of patience and love. Completing the family is Finley, my seven-year-old Golden Retriever, who adores her feline siblings. Caring for this wonderful crew has given me experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and needs, and I love every minute of it.

I am available for overnight stays and holiday care to ensure your fur babies are well looked after while you are away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When meeting cats who are anxious, timid, or nervous, I take a calm and patient approach, always prioritizing their comfort. I give them space to adjust at their own pace and use gentle encouragement, such as toys or treats, if they show interest. I remain quiet and move slowly to avoid startling them, allowing them to become familiar with my presence in a non-threatening way. If they prefer distance, I respect that and simply spend time nearby, speaking softly and reassuringly. I never force interaction, as I believe trust should be built on the cat’s terms. My goal is always to help each cat feel safe, comfortable, and secure in their environment.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
