What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I absolutely adore all cats. I love being able to meet new ones and ensure they’re well taken care of and have the attention they need when their owners are away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 beautiful cats. Michelin and Ivy who are the two babies from their litter. Michelin is a gental giant while Ivy is tiny and timid. Yang is my diva (tracks for a calico) and she loves to play fetch and be in your business. Blake is my problem kitty and imprinted on me and ONLY me. She’s very affectionate and loves belly rubs :)

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Anxious cats need a lot of space and time to trust you. I know from my own cat, Blake, that she will need a lot of time to adjust to new people. I ensure my movements are slow and non-threatening in nature. I usually try to give them treats and lots of positive words to show that I’m here to help them, not hurt them. Each cat has something that will make them more comfortable whether that be food, toys, or pets. Sometimes, they’ll never get fully used to me, and that’s okay. As long as I give them plenty of space and make sure they are doing well, that’s what matters.

Jaelynn did an excellent job caring for our senior cat, Eko while we were traveling! She made us feel comfortable leaving even though Eko was not consistently eating food during this time. Jaelynn sent us lots of updates and pictures, letting us know how much food Eko ate at each meal. She was totally understanding of us being crazy cat parents and it was clear when we met her that Jaelynn loves cats too. This was an overnight sit and our house was also well cared for. We would love to have Jaelynn back for future sits!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
