What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a cat owner and lover all my life, but I have been professionally pet sitting since December 2018 and haven’t looked back since.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Spending times with cats and learning their individual personalities and quirks. It’s amazing how similar yet different cats are all over the world.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I have a lot, but a couple of my favorites are 2 clients that also foster and have had kittens. So getting to see all the kittens and spend some time with them is always fun! I also have 2 clients whose cats are very shy and don’t open up to other people, but they both love me. They even remember me when I haven’t seen them for months.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes 3! Joaquin (named after Joaquin Phoenix), Ricky and Lucy (named after the characters from I Love Lucy!) Ricky and Lucy are litter mates and Joaquin is the boss!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Do your due diligence and go with your gut. I also think a shorter booking to see how the sitter works with you and your cats can be a good idea if you are worried or they need special care.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I love to come meet you and your cats before booking. I also love notes, but take them myself at the meet & greet. I also love to send detailed notes and lots of photos at my visits!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

First at the door I always pay attention when I open it with at least one hand free to ensure no cats escape. Then just following all instructions, watching for any changes and communicating everything!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Some of them yes. My family is in Colorado so I do go there a couple times a year to see them, sometimes over the Christmas or Thanksgiving holiday’s. Most of the smaller holiday’s I am available.

What is your favorite cat toy?

The cat dancer is probably my overall favorite, I have never met a cat that wasn’t at least a little interested in it, and it’s interactive.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Give them their space and let them come to me, I’ll sit on the floor and try to feed them food or treats with my hand when they do start to come out.

Lynette did an amazing job with our three cats while on vacation. She is great at administering medications for cats with special needs including an inhaler. Lynette was very flexible with scheduling and adapting to last minute medical needs for our senior kitty. We loved getting thorough updates for every visit along with pictures of the fur babies. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
