Our family experience includes successfully socializing a rescued cat that my oldest daughter adopted. This process was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and it taught us a lot about patience and understanding the unique needs of different cats. In addition to our cats, we also have a Pomsky named Prince, who adds to the lively and loving atmosphere of our home.
My affection for cats started early in my life... I'm the perfect cat sitter because I absolutely adore cats! I have two wonderful cats of my own, Raven and T'Challa, who are the heart of my home. My love for cats is complemented by my daughter's passion for cats; she is always immersing herself in documentaries about feline behavior, which has significantly expanded my knowledge about our furry friends.

Although I couldn't have pets when I was young, I made up for it during my teenage years when I adopted my first cat, Shadow. Shadow was my loyal companion for 17 years, and his presence further deepened my connection with cats.
As a responsible individual, I take the care of cats very seriously. I understand the importance of maintaining their routines and ensuring they stay engaged and happy. Being a cat owner myself, I am attuned to their moods and behaviors, and I know how essential it is to keep them stimulated to support their emotional well-being.

By following the pet parent's directions and making sure the cats are where they are suppose to be.

It depends. If needed and available I can work holidays.

My reservation with Crystal was great !!! She came to meet them the day prior to my trip and they immediately warmed up to her and that is not their normal. I told Crystal she had to be a “Cat Whisperer “!!! She made sure Frank ate on time and received his daily medications, she fed them as instructed, cleaned their boxes and she even sent daily photos!!! my fur babies looked happy and seemed to really enjoy Crystals’ company!!!! I was sooo grateful for her, I will book her every time i need to as long as she is available!!!! Crystal was great 👍🏼 and I have even bragged on her to my family! Thanks 🙏 again Crystal!!!! 💕

Crystal is very knowledgeable about cats, especially in caring for one of our cats who has CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) and has stayed overnight. Crystal took good care of our cats. She sent pics and videos of them enjoying being brushed, etc. They were healthy and well cared for upon our return. It's was a comfort to know she'd feed them and help clean up the kitty litter tray if and when our older mama cat went over the little box. Very grateful the cats were cared for and that my home was cared for as well!. When meeting Crystal in person, she was very comfortable to speak with. She was genuinely personable and seemed confident in doing what we do to take care of our cats while we were away. She a really good taking care of our cats and home.

My wife and I went out of town for a camping trip and used Meowtel for the first time. We sent a request to Crystal and she got back to us right away. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND and I cannot recommend her enough. You can tell she really loves cats. She sent us a detailed summery of how the each visit went and included pics, she brought her own toys, she spent time with the cats, and she swept and cleaned the litter box. We were so impressed that I also posted in my neighborhood page. 10/10 I recommend Crystal. We will be using her again!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Oak Park cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
