What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I like most about cat sitting is getting to know each catās unique personality and earning their trust. I love the little momentsāplaying with them, giving them attention and affection, or simply sitting with them and keeping them company. Itās rewarding to see a shy or nervous cat become comfortable with me and eventually come out of their shell. I also enjoy knowing that Iām giving pet parents peace of mind while theyāre away. Most of all, I love being able to provide cats with the love, attention, and care they deserve in the comfort of their own home.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
My process starts with getting to know both you and your cat. Before the first visit, I like to learn about your catās personality, daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and any special needs or instructions. Iām happy to meet in person beforehand so we can go over everything and your cat can become familiar with me. Iāll follow your instructions carefully and keep your catās routine as consistent as possible while youāre away. During each visit, Iāll provide fresh food and water, clean the litter box, give medications if needed, and spend quality time playing, petting, or simply keeping your cat company. Iāll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you know how your cat is doing. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable and confident knowing your cat is safe, happy, and well cared for while youāre away.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
The safety and well-being of your cat is always my top priority. I carefully follow your instructions and make sure doors, windows, gates, and other exits are securely closed so your cat stays safely indoors. Iām attentive to your catās behavior and surroundings and will never leave doors open or take unnecessary risks. I also treat your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I make sure the home is secure when I leave, including locking doors and checking that everything is in order. I follow feeding, medication, and care instructions carefully and will contact you promptly if I notice anything unusual with your cat or home. Iāll provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat and home are safe and well cared for while youāre away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
