What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I’ve cared for cats all my life and recently joined the Meowtel community. I love getting to know each cat individually and taking the time to figure out what they like. My goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable and happy!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Crouton is a fluffy, 6 year old Siberian. I’ve had cats my whole life, including 1 that we brought home from Hawaii! I also have 2 golden retrievers, Enzo and Colin.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Make sure you meet the person and trust them! This is your baby and it’s important that you find the right fit with someone who will be reliable and treat your cat with kindness and respect.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I keep my availability calendar up to date! My husband and I like to travel ourselves but we are generally around for most holidays.

What is your favorite cat toy?

The cat dancer! So simple but is always a hit! And cat springs. My cat also has his own yoga mat that he adores.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My cat Crouton has a very sensitive nervous system and gets overstimulated easily so having him has helped me recognize the early signs that he’s had enough attention. He’s still not the most affectionate cat but it makes the moments when he chooses me all the sweeter!

My cat has the personality of a dog, and a lot of anxiety when Im gone, usually I get home to a clingy, overgroomed troubled girl. This trip, Taylor sent videos and paid lots of attention to my cat, grooming her and playing her favorite games, as well as making sure all was well with food, water, and litter. My cat was happy to see me and affectionate, but also generally happy and healthy too.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
