I’m Ella, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I absolutely adore cats. I’m a proud cat mom to two spolied kitties (ages 4 & 8) and honestly they are my world. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I get excited every time I see a cat, I genuinely light up around them! I’ve volunteered at cat adoption events and I am a frequent visitor to my nearby pet smarts to visit the cats up for adoption. I’m always the person my friends and family call when they need someone to watch their pets, they know I’m always happy to do so because I genuinely love doing it!
I have experience caring for cats of all personalities, from playful and social to shy and independent. I’ve given medications, cleaned litter boxes for what feels like my whole life, and of course I’ve very familiar with feeding routines, playtime, and making sure every cat gets the love and attention they need. During my visits, I don’t just stop by to refill the food and leave. I spend time getting to know your cat, giving them endless amounts of attention (if they want it), playing with them, checking that they’re happy and healthy, scooping the litter box, refreshing food and water, and making sure everything is just the way you left it.
I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet because I would want the exact same peace of mind if someone were caring for my own cats. My goal is to make sure your cats feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and to keep you updated so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. I can’t promise your cat won’t become my new best friend, but I can promise they’ll be cared for like they’re one of my own:)

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Ive been cat sitting for friends and family for several years, but I’ve been caring for cats for over 12 years. I’m a cat mom to two amazing cats (ages 4 & 8), so caring for cats is a part of my everyday life. I also volunteered at cat adoption centers, which gave me experience with cats of all ages and personalities. I have experience giving medication, sticking to feeding routines, cleaning litter boxes, and making sure every cat feels safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to meet new cats is honestly one of my favorite things ever. Every cat has such a different personality, and I love figuring out what makes each one happy. Some want to chase toys, some just want someone to sit with them, and some like to pretend they don’t care you’re there… until they’re following you around five minutes later lol. Seeing a shy cat slowly start to trust me is seriously the best feeling. I know how much our cats mean to us because mine are family, so being able to give someone peace of mind while they’re away, and getting to spoil another kitty for a little while, is something I genuinely love doing.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Honestly I let the cat be the boss! I never force interactions because I know trust takes time. If your cat wants to hide, that’s totally okay! I’ll give them space, talk to them softly, and let them come to me when they’re ready. I’ve learned that sometimes just quietly sitting on the floor is all it takes for a curious kitty to decide you’re not so scary after all. My goal isn’t to make every cat love me on the first visit, it’s to make them feel safe, comfortable, and respected. Every cat deserves patience, especially the shy and independent ones.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
