Having cats all my life has provided me with decades of experience with kitties of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I currently play servant to two royal furballs of my own, including an FIP survivor (more on that later!) and a feisty fetching ginger. My promise to every client is to treat your kitties as if they were my own, following your guidelines to the letter so it feels like you (almost) never left... Greetings, fellow cat lovers! Looking for that special someone to take care of your favorite family member? Look no further! White glove service is what all cats deserve, and delivering on that is my specialty. From the moment I enter your home to the moment I leave, my goal is to make your kitty feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Our feline friends can be sensitive to change and to having a stranger in the house, especially when their usual servants aren't around. I aim to make that a positive experience and become their favorite visitor!

With your permission, I sometimes utilize catnip, treats, or toys to help win their favor; however, I've had the most success with sitting quietly where they can get to know me from a distance until they feel more comfortable.
Between helping my sweet little one battle FIP and navigating hypothyroidism and CKD in my recently passed 18-year-old cat, I've learned a lot about giving medications. It can be difficult to do with a cat that doesn't know you, so if you are in need of a sitter who can handle medicating your little buddy, I will work with you during our meet-and-greet to make sure we have a solid plan for success while you're away!
I am in the North Kansas City area and have a daytime job, so generally I am available in afternoons and/or evenings on weekdays. On weekends I can come by as early as 9am and as late as 8pm. I serve areas within 20 minutes of Gladstone including North Kansas City, Parkville, Claycomo, Liberty, Platte Woods, Pleasant Valley, Briarcliff, and more. My localized service area means I can offer consistent care, even in bad weather, and maintain a more flexible schedule for my clients.
Services I provide on a visit to your kitty’s home (we both know they own the place!) include:
• Feeding and watering the cat(s) according to your guidelines
• Giving any necessary medications
• Scooping or changing the litterbox as needed
• Play and/or cuddle time
• Giving space – if your kitty doesn’t like strangers, I won’t force it (unless they need medicine, of course!)
• Watering your plants
• Bringing in packages
• Picking up your mail
• Sending you pictures of your kitty and any other relevant items

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been cat sitting professionally for about 3 years, and did casual pet sitting for friends and family prior to that.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Well, it's the kitties! Every cat I meet is different from all the others, and getting to know their personalities is rewarding and entertaining to say the least. It's especially exciting to win over a shy cat who usually hides from strangers - I've even gotten nose boops from a couple of them!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two kitties, my lovely ladies Becky and Judy! They are young and lots of fun. Becky was rescued from a neglectful situation and survived FIP, and Judy was rescued from a Leavenworth shelter at 8 months old.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I think it's good for new pet owners to listen to the advice of others, but ultimately it's important that they figure out what works for them, their pet, and situation. All people and cats are different! Learning what can be dangerous to a cat is paramount, of course, but beyond that, understanding cats' enrichment needs and learning to watch for signs of health problems should be next on the list. If you do your best, the cat will appreciate it!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Getting to know the cats and their habits is the most important thing. If there is an escape artist in the house, knowing her whereabouts and being prepared to block any escape attempts before opening outside doors is paramount. There are many cat toys that should only be used with supervision, so I always put those away when our visit is done as well. Beyond these, it's important to understand feline body language and vocalizations to know when a cat may be in pain or experiencing some other discomfort, fear, or dangerous situation.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Well of course, it's whatever the cat likes best. Strings and laser pointers are usually pretty big hits, but mine love the fake mice and the catnip banana!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
The best gift you can give a shy cat is invisibility! Avoiding eye contact and showing them through body language that you are not a threat can often convince them to engage with you, but it's best not to force it unless absolutely necessary! If it's a cat you're going to see repeatedly, they might just decide you're not so bad in the end.

My partner and I kept procrastinating a vacation because we were worried about leaving our fur babies, who are both former street cats and very skittish. Bonnie is so obviously a cat lover, so knowledgeable about them and so thorough with the daily cat care routine, check-ins and photos, it really gave us a lot of peace of mind so we could enjoy our trip. We were very surprised when Bonnie sent photos of our boy Vincent during many of the drop-ins, who was clearly curious about her enough to not immediately run and hide as he usually does with strangers. We also appreciated that she brought in some deliveries left on our porch and wheeled out our trash bins. We would absolutely hire her again!

Bonnie was very nice and easy to work with! She did great with my adult cat Charlie and my older cat Goblyn. Goblyn is a bit of a hider so she didn’t come out much during Bonnie’s visit but she enjoyed the treats and wet food left behind! The Thank You note Bonnie left was completely unexpected and heartwarming and she was able to perform above and beyond, even communicating everything through the Meowtel app and adapting to extra treats that I did not discuss during our meet and greet. Bonnie stayed all 45 minutes (maybe even a couple minutes more) and watched Cat TV with Charlie, and turned everything off back as she found it. I will only be using her services in the future. Bonnie was amazing! She was very responsive from day 1 and took extensive notes about our two cats during the initial meeting. As a cat owner, she is very in tune with what cats need and may want and understands that they are all a bit different. She sent pics and videos as well as messages while we were gone and proved trustworthy for us and our cats. Unexpectedly, she offered to bring in packages and was quick to help with bringing in the trash and recycle bins as we were gone on trash day. We plan to use her anytime we need help with our fur babies!

Bonnie was the perfect sitter for our cat Jax. This was our first time searching for a finding a sitter and I could not have asked for a more caring, detail oriented and invested person. Bonnie cared about Jax above taking care of the daily necessities. She took interest in his personality and met him exactly where he was at. She used all of the time to handle was was necessary but also went above and beyond with treats and consideration for him by opening the window, giving him attention snd affection, whatever he required at the time. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Kansas City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We were more than happy with Bonnie! She was so thorough and took such great care of our kitten sisters! She provided great updates and even washed a floor mat for us when one of our stinkers urinated on it. We would highly recommend Bonnie and will be using her again in the future!

Did a fine job feeding and playing with the cats while we were away. It was very strange when she told us it looked like someone had been in our house, but then when she sent pictures of what had been moved, it was very obvious it was just the cats moving things around like cats so. Really scared us for a minute with that. She did tell us that she scooped litter boxes every day, but they did smell really bad when we got home.
