Hi all, I’m Nancy! I’m here besides the obvious that I love cats, but I love people too. I’m passionate about helping others, and that includes giving cat owners their peace of mind when they need it most. I know how special our kitties are to our families, so I always treat them as my own. Though I’m currently new to Meowtel, I have a lifetime of love and experience caring for cats of all ages... I know how special our kitties are to our families, so I always treat them as my own. Though I’m currently new to Meowtel, I have a lifetime of love and experience caring for cats of all ages. Family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors have relied on me to ensure their four legged family members are taken care of while they were away. I have administered different kinds of medications, for cats at different health stages and whatever I’m unsure of I can definitely learn.

I work a full time job, so during the week there are 4 days I’m away for a little while, but besides that I’m very flexible with my schedule.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy meeting new people and new cats first of all. I really love working with both the parent and the cat’s different personalities.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two 3 year old bonded female sisters. Their names are Mia and Cici. They are super sweet and friendly. They love meeting new people and are very social. My girls are rescues and one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Communication is key. Be as thorough as possible when choosing a new sitter. When it comes to your cat you can never give to much information on them, the more information the better.

Nancy did such a great job with our pets. She took care of them as if they were her own! Not only did she take care of the pets, but she picked up our mail and watered my flowers! Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Kansas City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
