What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love all the unique personalities! Some are so friendly and vocal, just wanting all the love and affection. Others are a little anxious and need more time to open up. All have their own journey to building trust and such a joy to see them open up once you’ve earned it.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to set up a meet and greet. This is a time so the client can see how their cat interacts with me, if not too nervous to come out. The client can then walk me through their normal routine, and show me their cat’s favorite toys and treats.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Follow their lead. If a cat seems uncomfortable or anxious, offer something they like but then back away but stay in eyesight. Watch how they react, but don’t force eye contact. I let them get comfortable with me from a distance before working to close the gap over multiple visits. Let them set the pace and take it slowly until they are comfortable.

Brooke was absolutely fantastic! This was the first time we had to leave our two senior cats for a extended time since they've started new twice daily medication. Brooke did a great job being attentive, engaging, applying medicine timely, and taking great care of our kitties! Very appreciative for her detailed communication on their care as well. Would definitely book with Brooke in the future.

Brooke was terrific! My kitty surprisingly liked her immediately...and that never happens! She must have that special something that animals sense. Plus Brooke is so sweet & kind. Extremely honest & trustworthy, as well. I doubt that there's anybody out there, who's better than she is...when it comes to taking care of your pets!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Saint Louis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Brooke! If you’re looking for a fairy cat mother, look no further! Brooke is your gal! She’s down to earth and literally all about cats. When I say she spoils her cat more than I spoil my baby, I’m not kidding! She goes above and beyond for her cat and other cats that she cares for. You’ll never have to worry. Also, Brooke has a real skill at administering medicine to cats. No idea how she does it. She’s incredible all the way around and will get back to you quickly if you text her. She always shares lots of pictures when she has watched my animals. You won’t regret using her!
