What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a pet sitter for over 20 years, in a volunteer capacity (for friends and coworkers) and have loved all the friends I’ve been lucky enough to care for.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new friends and getting to know who they are and how they like to interact. Some are shy, while others come running to see me.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I sat for a lovely older Persian kitty who loved to hide her toys for me to find. I would put them back in her basket and the next day they would be tucked under a carpet, in a food dish or under the table.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 12 year old black cat named Millie who still gets the zoomies and loves to curl up on top of the book I’m reading.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Chose someone who is patient and a good listener, who loves cats and understands how different they can be from each other.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I make sure to take notes about any special needs and instructions and ask questions about the kitties’ personal preferences.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am very careful when entering and leaving to avoid any escapes and am mindful to always double check doors and locks.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually available on weekends and holidays, I am usually in town for all big federal holidays and other breaks like spring break or winter break.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love the toys that are on a pole and string with feathers on the end. I also really like catnip mice!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I am particularly good with timid or shy cats, I don’t chase them or act aggressively but I will sit near them and wait for them to come to me.

Lisa put my mind at ease by being able to give my boys their regular night feed exactly when I'd give it to them. that gave me a lot of peace of mind being aaay. She also had my shy boy out investigating her on day two which is amazing in itself!

Lisa is an absolutely lovely person and a great fit for our girls. She asked great questions and her updates were sweet and frequent! One of our kitties had some eye irritation and she was quick to mention it and keep an eye on it for us. We had so much of peace of mind on our first trip away from our cats. Lisa is a wonderful catsitter who will treat your cats with love and respect.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
