Do you have a shy or scared kitty? No problem! I'm a Behavior Foster & Socializer so I have TONS of experience with them... Cats are my life & always have been. I've had cats all my life. Growing up we were always taking in strays. I can't imagine my life without them. I've had my cats Cutie & Ginger for about 8 years now. They were born in my backyard to a feral mom. They're my kids. Cutie is gray & white and LOVES everyone! Ginger is an orange tabby and he's what we call "a 1 person cat". He loves his momma but he's scared of other people so he hides. I'm a life long Animal Rescuer, Foster & Volunteer. I've short-term fostered 400+ cats in the past few years. I've volunteered & fostered for different Rescues & Shelters. In my free time I like to hike, craft, sew, make catnip toys & cuddle with my cats while watching movies.
Do you have a shy or scared kitty? No problem! I'm a Behavior Foster & Socializer so I have TONS of experience with them. Friendly & loving cats are awesome too! Rest assured your babies will be loved and taken care of with me. You'll get daily updates with pictures and videos. If you have security cameras in the home I'll even hold them up to wave and say hi. We'll play with toys, watch some bird or wildlife videos on YouTube and even listen to calming cat music if needed.
I don't smoke. I have experience with applying topical/skin medication & flea meds. As well as giving eye, ear & oral medications. My availability is open. I prefer to stay within a 10 mile radius of 28213.

I've been cat sitting for several years now.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Just spending time with more cats and helping pet parents feel safe and comfortable so they can enjoy their trip without worry.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
This lady had just rescued an orange momma cat and her 7 orange babies. They were so fluffy & cute. They couldn't get enough love. They would all climb up onto the sofa to cuddle with me.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Make sure to hire one that has experience with certain medical needs if your baby has certain needs. If your cat or kitten is normally shy, scared or a bit hissy around strangers, make sure your cat sitter has experience with those types of cats. Not everyone is experienced with these levels of behaviors. But I am because I'm a Behavior Foster & Socializer.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I make sure to get a tour of the home and write down notes for their expectations, needs, etc. I will also get an emergency contact number just in case because the clients may not have good cell reception where they are traveling to. Maybe their cats are on a feeding schedule or their food needs to be measured. Maybe their baby need to take medication. Maybe they need their plants watered or are expecting an important package while they are away. I take pictures & videos each visit and send updates to the clients. I ask if they want to do video chats.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Making sure all doors and windows are locked during the visit and when leaving. As well as making sure they are within sight during the visit so I can monitor any odd behaviors, breathing issues, can physically check them for any injuries that might have happened while I was away. Cats are very curious and love to jump around so things do happen. If there are security cameras I will usually wave bye with a smile to mean that everything is okay. If something has happened I will call the emergency contact number.

Yes, I'm available during holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Catnip knots: I like to make them for my own cats, fosters, for Rescues, Shelters and for cat sitting clients. I use organic catnip.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I'm a Behavior Foster & Socializer. You need a quiet environment for these cats. Or play calming cat music from YouTube. You yourself need to have a calm spirit, a peaceful heart and be very patient with them. You can't be scared or get frustrated with them. I usually stay on the floor on their level instead of towering over them and talk softly to them without eye contact. You have to make them feel safe & loved and wait for them to come to you. Every cat and kitten is truly different.

April cared for my sweet Oobi for about a week, and she was incredible. She truly went above and beyond. From our meet-and-greet onward, I was thoroughly impressed by April’s punctuality, professionalism, and organizational skills. She came not only to take notes on important care aspects for Oobi, but she also came bearing questions! I think I speak for most, that it gives any pet owner peace of mind to know that their fur baby is in the capable hands of someone who genuinely wants to provide the best quality care they can- even asking questions in order to do so. She monitored Oobi’s eating habits, and because he has some chronic health issues- she even noted his bowel movements & counted urines for me. I can safely say that April exceeded my expectations in delivering care for Oobi. April very kindly updated me upon arrival and departure of each visit, which I thought was very considerate and professional. She updated me with photos and videos of Oobi as well, which of course made me very happy. And she very nicely watered plants and got my mail for me while I was gone. April is a complete rarity. I am one of the very unlucky people whose cat experienced a medical emergency with my baby while away. April handled the situation with complete competence, therefore saving his life. If April hadn’t known what to look for in terms of symptoms and behaviors, or if she had been less thorough, it’s possible that my baby would no longer be here today. I can’t imagine having had a friend stop over, or any inexperienced personnel, knowing the difference April has made in my life and my baby’s. April accepted my fairly last minute request to petsit and went way above and beyond. She deep cleaned the litter box, gave the cats a new drinking fountain, provided numerous toys, tracked the litter box contents, and watered our plants. Of course, she also fed, watered, and played with the cats. She sent countless videos and photos with every visit. I would absolutely recommend her and plan to hire her again. We were extremely impressed!

April was amazing! I have four cats plus three foster kittens so a heavy lift; she was fantastic continuing to socialize the kittens and also found time to play with the big kids. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
