I love all animals, but kitties are my favorite with their curiosity, playfulness and purrs. I’m a retired RN and currently work at a veterinarian hospital part time for over seven years. It’s the best work environment because I get to love on all the pets throughout my day. I truly love the connection we can make with these beautiful animals... Hello – my name Is Patricia, and I would like to offer my services to take care of your precious kitty. As an animal lover, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t own a pet – especially, kitties. When I was three years of age, a Russian Blue showed up at my house and we became inseparable for 20+ years. Yes, that’s right – he was my buddy for a very long time since I spoiled him so much.
I love all animals, but kitties are my favorite with their curiosity, playfulness and purrs. I’m a retired RN and currently work at a veterinarian hospital part time for over seven years. It’s the best work environment because I get to love on all the pets throughout my day. I truly love the connection we can make with these beautiful animals.
Although I’ve never met a kitty who did not like me, I believe in patience and allowing them the opportunity to become comfortable with me as a guest in their space and on their own terms. I currently have a male Russian Blue (Alexander). His brother passed in Feb 2024 😞 and a female Tabby (Prya) who believes she is the queen.
I am responsible, reliable and a non-smoker. I have my own transportation and lots of flexibility with scheduling. I have experience with:
• Applying topical medication
• Administering eye, ear and oral medication
• Animal CPR trained
Taking time for ourselves is important and I know from experience how stressful it can be leaving our pets behind even for just a few days. So, I would like to help minimize that stress and provide your kitty with lots of love and play time along with peace of mind that your pet and home are safe.
I'm from California and have been in NC/SC for 23 years. I enjoy gardening, decorating and crafts when I'm not loving on my precious kitties. The areas I will be sitting for are Indian Land, Fort Mill, Ballantyne, Matthews, Charlotte and Monroe. I can do 1-3 visits a day.

Connection with the kitties and making them feel confortable and loved. Also putting families at ease so they can enjoy their time away.

Russian Blue named Alexander. Tabby named Prya.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for good communication, reliability and flexibilty.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Do a meet and greet and learn about the family, pet's habits and preferences. Ask about any special requests ie. turning different lights on, bringing in mail, etc.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Ask about specific toys and habits. Look for out of norm objects. Always be alert for kitty escape artists! Do a scan of home checking that all is locked. Alternate lights on/off.

Normally I am available.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I'm a guest in your kitty's home, so I learn what their favorite toy is.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I sit on the floor and let them get comfortable. I speak in a calm, soft voice to convey I'm not a threat, but a caring human.

Patricia did a great job caring for our cat Theo. She is very thorough and sent us lots of photos and updates at every visit, which I really appreciated, but most of all I was grateful for how she let Theo approach on his terms. We lost our other cat a week before our trip so Theo was a little on edge, and Patricia was very patient, allowing Theo to slowly warm up to her throughout her visits.

Patricia was absolutely amazing. I leave a lot of instructions for Bub and she went above and beyond. Bub can be a nervous little man, but she was playing with him right away and he got to enjoy his favorite toys and lot's of cuddles. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Monroe cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
