When working with a new cat parent, I prefer to start with an in-person meet and greet. This allows me to get to know the cat, understand their personality, and discuss any special care instructions, including medications or dietary needs. I also like to learn about their routine, favorite activities, and how they typically respond to new people. During the meeting, I ensure all necessary supplies are in place and confirm emergency contacts and vet information. Once the visit begins, I follow the routine, provide updates, and maintain clear communication to ensure both the cat and owner feel comfortable and secure.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When caring for cats that are particularly timid or anxious, I approach them with patience and understanding. I take time to allow them to come to me on their own terms, never forcing interaction. I keep my movements slow and calm, speaking softly to avoid startling them. Just like my own cat, who can be a bit shy, I understand the importance of creating a safe and familiar environment. I also ensure that their routine is maintained to minimize stress. With consistent, gentle care, I work to build trust, offering affection and space as needed, while keeping their comfort a top priority.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
