While you're away: cats are our family members and we want to know they are safe & happy while we travel. I had to travel quite a bit in the past for my prior career and know what it’s like to be away from my cats. It’s important to have someone you fully trust caring for them... Hi there, my name is Matt and I’m a cat dad and all-around animal lover. The first cat I adopted (or adopted me) was when he sauntered into my house in West Philly in 2006 and decided to stay. Since then, my wife and I have adopted 3 more cats and I have experience with kittens, adults, and senior cats for over 20 years with our own cats, and through several recent years of volunteering & fostering for local shelters.
In addition to my love for cats and years of experience with all their quirks and behaviors, I am highly organized and a clear communicator from 15+ years in the corporate world managing complex global projects. I've recently left my corporate career behind to be a dedicated cat sitter!
While you're away: cats are our family members and we want to know they are safe & happy while we travel. I had to travel quite a bit in the past for my prior career and know what it’s like to be away from my cats. It’s important to have someone you fully trust caring for them. As your cat sitter, I will ensure that each detail for their care is covered before you leave. On your trip, I will provide you with plenty of updates & pictures from each visit so you can have peace of mind and enjoy your trip.
Ask me about clicker training cats! I'm currently using a clicker to teach my own cats some tricks like fist bumps and ringing a bell. I'd be happy to try to begin training your cats during my visit!
I’m a volunteer with the (Voorhees) Animal Orphanage in the cattery, at PetSmart Cherry Hill through Community Cat Club, and have been a foster cat parent to over 10 cats and kittens through both VAO and the Pennsylvania SPCA in Philly. These foster cats had a range of personalities, from outgoing to totally scared when they first arrived. One of my proudest accomplishments in fostering was caring for 2 very scared & hissy kittens, and through patience and persistence turning them into cuddly lap cats who went to very loving homes.
My wife and I also love supporting local community cats & TNRing efforts through Pennsauken Community Cats and other local grassroots groups. Outside of my love for cats, I enjoy practicing yoga and jiu-jitsu, reading fiction and sci-fi, and playing old-school video games. I'm also involved in a social justice focused scholarship program at my undergrad alma mater, TCNJ.

My wife and I have 3 cats: Ralphie (6), Georgie (5), and Missy (4). My first cat Sammy passed peacefully a few years ago when he was 17. My wife and I have also fostered well over 10 cats and kittens over the past few years

Yes, I am always available! Expect me to be local and available all holidays and breaks all year round

I meet the cat where it's at through patience and respect. Some cats I may never interact with and that's ok, but through a calm presence and patience I'm committed to trying to engage with every cat where appropriate

Matt treated Missy and Ollie with upmost care and love! I even appreciated the attention to detail he had for each of my cats on our meet and greet. Matt is everything you’d hope your pet sitter would be and more - I can’t praise him enough, truly & honestly. My senior cat is on a bunch of different medications & supplements, and I have 3 additional kitties 1 y/o and younger who I rescued from outside who are still very wary of people - so what I ask Matt to do while I’m away is not easy. He made sure my senior got all of her life-savings meds & even modified the plan a bit when she started getting picky - ensuring she took what she needed. He socialized with my wary babes - giving them pets and churus. He even successfully got my scardiest little one to open up to him which is a huge feat! I am incredibly, deeply thankful to have Matt take care of my little ones while I’m away. I am an anxious cat mom and he eases all of my worries.

Simply put, Matt is the BEST! I had a pretty stressful family emergency and I had to pretty much up and go without much notice. Matt was extremely accommodating and made sure that we were able to meet before I left (again being super flexible with my short notice) and he was extremely diligent with all the care that was needed. He made sure to send me detailed updates and used the extra time during the reservation to make sure my kitty got her brushes and some play time. He definitely helped keep my kitty's stress and worry down while I was away. Matt is extremely trustworthy and respectful! Definitely keeping him in mind for future!

Matt jumped in last minute to visit my two main coons over the holiday. he had a great vibe with them at our meet& greet, and he knew how to read them and engage where they’re at. he also is great and meticulous about following directions. I have a ton of (probably irrational) fears when I leave my babies at home alone; Matt thinks ahead and anticipates the same, and that level of attention to detail, coupled with getting both my cats to engage and enjoy his company (after only just meeting him), made him a very solid choice to sit them while I needed to be away. when I got back they were so relaxed and nicely cared for. I’ll have no hesitation the next time I book Matt.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Collingswood cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Matt is an absolute rockstar! We were quite apprehensive about leaving our newly adopted cat Ray for the week, but Matt quickly put us at ease with his undeniable cat knowledge and his ability to adapt to our requests for Ray’s care. Matt was an absolute pro: communicative, thorough, and AMAZING with my senior baby as well as my 3 less socialized previously outside babies. He was everything you’d hope a pet sitter would be and more.
