While I may have only done overnight dog-sitting in the past, I am the... Hi, I’m Chania! I’m 19 years old, from New Providence, and saving up for college in the fall! I enjoy baking, traveling, hiking, reading, and of course, naps with my 2 lovely cats! One of them I got when he was just 3 months old, so I have experience with kittens as well.
While I may have only done overnight dog-sitting in the past, I am the main caretaker of my cats at home so I’m quite knowledgeable about them, and those around me consider me hardworking, reliable, and kind. My availability is very open- I’m willing and able to provide for both drop-ins and overnights this summer!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! The older one, Bean, is super gentle and clingy. She will follow me wherever I go. Luci is a black cat who’s playful and is almost one year old! It’s funny to me, the way his personality is like the opposite of Bean’s. They’re named after characters from Disenchantment :)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Besides the obvious “lock the doors” and such, I’d definitely keep an eye on the cat(s) at all times. I’d want to make sure they’re ok and to notify the owner immediately if anything were to happen. Learning behaviors and boundaries of the cat(s) are equally as important, to ensure they’re comfortable and trust me in the time they’re under my care. Keeping the area clean/safe, and making sure to follow instructions are crucial, too.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Every cat adjust differently. What I learned especially through my cats, is that keeping a distance, staying quiet and calm, and respecting they’re boundaries are super important. As cat owners, we have to the let the cat adapt to us just as we adapt to them, and that may take some time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
