Genesis (Genn) Bosse is a graphic design student at Kean University, crocheter, painter and cat lover located in New Jersey. She enjoys spending time with her beagle Chase and tuxedo kitty Margot! Genn's love for cats started when she had her first orange tabby cat, Scooba Steve, when she was little. She grew up in a household full of cats. Unfortunately, Scooba Steve passed on young due to feline leukemia. Ever since then, she has found herself loving cats and wanting to connect with them even more.
Genn has been a pet sitter for her boyfriend's black cat Nyx and her uncle's chocolate lab Lady. When she is not laying with her cat and watching tv, she is working on campus at Kean University for a special admit program called Bridge to Success as a Head Social Media Specialist.
Genn's schedule is pretty flexible. She is available on the weekends and at certain times during the weekdays.

Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I am available on most holidays! On all calendar holidays, my university is closed so I will be available to take clients.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toys are the cat wand toys with the feathers. It is my cat's favorite toy, along with her stuffed mouse.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always allow them to smell me. If they are shy or anxious I always offer toys and if all else fails I sit near them and talk to them.

Genesis is the best! My cat has eye issues that require eye drops and he can be a little spicy about it. Genesis handled it so well and had no problems giving the eye drops. She sent great updates with lots of pictures that made me miss my cat a little bit less. I knew he was in good hands. I highly recommend Genesis!!

She took exceptional care of my cats and stepped up and gracefully handled several unexpected situations that came up while I was away, tasks well beyond the typical duties of a cat sitter. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

South Plainfield cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Genesis was a lifesaver! I needed to leave for a flight to see family and she was able to cooperate with my hectic schedule for a first meetup. Genesis is clearly a cat whisperer because even my most timid little girl "kitten" was coming out to greet her for some pets and treats! Kitten has a challenging medication situation required twice daily and she handled it without issue.
